In late December of 2005 Stuart and I were invited to speak at a conference on the West Coast. Seeing Stuart stand up and communicate Truth in front of some 8,000 plus students was an honor and extremely humbling. Watching God make Himself great was quite overwhelming. But something else happened during those days that broke our hearts. A prominent, very successful Christian band lip-synched three songs during a worship set for the sake of making a video. Keep in mind: the vast majority of students in attendance were not believers. We watched this in disbelief. During the second lip-synched song I began to weep.
We do not and cannot set ourselves up as judge. I share the above story simply for perspective and a glimpse at our motivation. This experience along with too many other experiences and stories to tell has compelled us to create an organization, The Echo Group, that exists to enable communicators and artists in life and career by providing excellence in itinerant management for His renown. There are emerging worship leaders, communicators and artists that have potential to no end, yet no one is walking with them in making wise decisions, both professionally and personally. Most of all, these emerging leaders risk going the way of said band above: Making God a commodity and not their life’s all.
I humbly invite you to consider partnering with The Echo Group family. Together, we can echo very loud in eternity!
